    1. This is not a simple question. There are so many Pollock branches. Each person has to do their own digging into their past. If you want to trace your specific roots. I suggest you start at https://www.archives.gov/files/research/genealogy/start-research/getting-started-toolkit.pdf It gives basic directions on how to start doing research on your family. Many of the genealogy websites charge a fee. For some of the free ones and their pros and cons you can watch the video at https://youtu.be/LwvDJFy68oc.
